Shea butter is an African treasure with exceptional properties, Butyrospermum parkii.
It is produced from the fruits of the shea tree (naturally fatty kernels) which are roasted and ground into a thick paste.
Shea butter is known for its moisturising, repairing, softening and smoothing properties. It is particularly rich in oleic acid and stearic acid. It also contains natural antioxidants (vitamins A and E).
Shea butter deeply moisturises and nourishes the skin. As a UV protectant, shea butter is particularly important in summer, as it also soothes skin irritations, for example from sunburn. In addition, it prolongs the tan and helps the skin to retain its elasticity.
Soothing and softening, shea butter prevents irritation and nourishes dry areas of the face.
