Grasse… World capital of perfumery
Perfume is a scientific art mastered by the perfumer, who has over 4000 fragrances at his disposal, including 400 natural ones, each with its own note and personality. The “nose” must combine them, “marrying” them in subtle harmony until the perfect harmony is found that will enchant our senses.
The perfumer must take into account not only the scent and how it holds up, but also the degree of volatility of the different essences used in a perfume and how they react on the skin.
All our fragrances are tested by an independent laboratory and are not tested on animals. They comply with current cosmetics standards, and our chemist is responsible for checking quality at every stage of production.
USE ADVICE
N°1 – Burning time
When using the candle for the first time, leave it to burn for 2 to 3 hours until all the wax on the surface has melted. This will prevent the wax from sinking and forming a hollow around the wick.
2 – Trim the wick
Cut the wick regularly with the wick cutter (ideal length 3 to 5 mm) to prevent the candle smoking or the wick falling into the wax and the candle becoming unusable.
No. 3 – Extinguishing the flame
To extinguish the flame, use a lid or a snuffer if possible to avoid smoke or splashes of liquid wax.
No. 4 – Re-centre the wick
Re-centre the wick correctly in the wax after each use, so that the wax burns evenly. This also prevents the ceramic from overheating. The wick and flame must not come into contact with the container.
